Back in 2012, Sega announced a collaboration with Games Workshop to produce several games for the Warhammer series. Sega assigned TW series developer Creative Assembly to develop these products. The first game was planned for 2013, but at that time Creative Assembly was busy creating five projects, including Total War: Rome II.
At the moment, the official announcement of the game took place and all fans of the game were able to watch the announcement and gameplay trailer, which revealed some details of the plot and demonstrated weapons and various units.

Many thousands of years ago, the world of Warhammer was visited by certain cosmic creatures called the Ancients. They changed it to suit their needs and created nations to fight the forces of Chaos.
