It's no secret that one of the most common iPhone breakdowns is a broken screen. No matter how Apple assures us otherwise, the displays modern smartphones no stronger than the iPhone, which were released a few years ago. Therefore, leaving the cafe on Friday evening and dropping your favorite phone on the pavement, you will most likely find cracks on the screen.

We strongly recommend using, but damage is often unavoidable. It's one thing when this happens to an iPhone 6 or older - repairs there won't be as expensive. True, in this case it is also necessary to determine whether only the glass or the display module itself is damaged. But what if the screen is broken on the iPhone X, iPhone XS or? Indeed, due to the fact that they have an OLED screen installed, repair work is considered much more complicated. And expensive - often worth as good android smartphone.

IN service center Apple Pro found a way out of this situation - they change the damaged display to their own restored one. This is an original part (not Chinese fakes for 10,000 rubles), on which the engineers did a good job so that the restored screen served no less. At the same time, it will cost much cheaper than a new module.

What damage occurs when the iPhone falls

Only a qualified service center engineer can determine the exact nature of the breakdown. For example, the glass on the iPhone is broken, but the touchscreen continues to work - in this case it will help. Or vice versa, touch screen does not work and there is not a scratch on the screen. Design iPhone display X, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max allows you to change the glass or touchscreen separately - that is, you can do work like replacing just glass, as well as replacing glass with a touchscreen, which is impossible on the iPhone of earlier generations.

How to replace glass on iPhone X

After removing the display module, the engineer performs the necessary checks that reveal defects. For example, after a fall, there may be no visible damage on it, and in fact the module will be faulty. Not only the state of the screen is tested, but also the touchscreen.

Then a film is glued onto the screen and the module is placed on a vacuum separator.

With the help of tools, he dismantles the old display frame and the old glass.

In the next step, the engineer cleans the display surface. Work should be done very carefully, since OLED screens are much thinner than their "LCD" brothers. One wrong move and the display will be damaged - therefore, such repairs should be entrusted only to qualified specialists.

In a special dust-free room, an engineer cleans the display module and prepares new glass. An OCA film is glued to the latter, after which the display module and glass are glued together.

Bonding and lamination takes place in automatic mode, at the output, the engineer receives a one-piece display module.

Something is missing? Right, new framework! In order for the frame and module to become one again, the engineer uses glue and a press.

When the assembly work has been completed, and the module has been tested on the tester, it can be installed on the iPhone.

But what if after the fall the matrix was damaged, but the glass remained intact? Only replacing the entire display module will help here - as is the case with this iPhone. And to make repairs cheaper, Apple Pro itself restores displays and installs them.

Important point- after installing a new module, you need to restore the True Tone function. You must have noticed that given function greatly simplifies the use of the phone in different lighting conditions, and the eyes are less tired. Brightness control information is stored in the iPhone screen controller and it must be synchronized with the data on the device itself, therefore, in order to restore True Tone, a programmer is indispensable here.

Then the engineer carefully connects all the cables and the battery back, and also installs a special moisture-proof rubber sizing. This is a special layer between the case and the glass, which protects against unwanted ingress of liquid.

Another diagnostic - everything works, including True Tone, as evidenced by the corresponding item in the settings.

Because the given type repair is considered one of the most difficult, in this case it is better to contact qualified engineers. And is carried out in a similar way. The Apple Pro service center is distinguished by a quality approach to repair Apple technology(and here it helps to save), provides a guarantee for the work performed and - plus gives a nice 10% discount for all readers of the site.

By the way, if you don’t have the opportunity to contact the Apple Pro service center to replace the display, you can do it yourself - there are both original refurbished displays and completely factory ones.

iPhone is one of the most popular smartphones of our time. It's thin, light, feature-packed, and has a good camera. But at the same time there is one significant disadvantage - a noticeable vulnerability to mechanical damage.

In the absence of a protective glass and a case, the screen can break in a matter of minutes from the slightest drop or blow. Therefore, the protection of such a gadget with accessories is mandatory. But what if the smartphone has already been broken?

How to understand that the display is out of order?

Often, screen replacement is carried out along with the replacement of the display, since the manufacturer initially connects the two structures with special glue. At the same time, there are specialists who undertake such complex operations, but after that it is almost impossible to guarantee the high-quality operation of the gadget.

The main signs that your display needs to be replaced are:

  • broken and damaged glass;
  • the appearance on the screen of spots and dots that were not originally there when working with a smartphone;
  • poor touchscreen sensitivity;
  • The display does not turn on and glows white.

Breakage of this kind is a common occurrence among those who like to drop phones. Broken glass is caused by falls and bumps.

Why is it better to entrust repairs to professionals?

All gadgets from the Apple brand are serviced in special service centers. This is because professional equipment is needed to repair such complex systems. Also, before parsing the gadget, it is necessary to conduct a full system test to determine the presence of malfunctions.

Most users think that replacing the display module is easy at home, but this is not at all the case. For a complete and safe replacement, high-quality original parts are required, as well as a whole set of special tools. You can buy all the things you need for this, but their price will be noticeably more expensive than servicing at a service center.

Together with the site begins a special project.

We will be making issues dedicated to the most popular types of Apple repair. We will talk about which spare parts are better to choose - how they differ from each other, how the repair itself goes, how much it will cost you, and, perhaps most importantly, what can be done to avoid going to a service center. The result is a kind of FAQ and answers from Apple repair experts.

Today we will answer the most popular questions related to iPhone display replacement.

If cracks and chips appear on the iPhone screen, first of all, you should try to protect yourself - top part The display module is made of glass. It sounds funny, but we often have clients come in who keep up with a short time before visiting the service, cut your fingers on a broken device. If you do not have a protective film installed, we recommend that you seal the broken glass with transparent tape, this will protect your fingers and also protect against liquid getting inside the device, because if this happens, it will not only be necessary to repair the screen.

What is the difference between original display and copy?

Let's understand the terminology. On this moment There are 3 main categories of spare parts on the market:

- completely original spare part (removed from another device);

– a spare part made from original components;

It is important to understand that Apple does not supply parts for open sale, therefore, a completely original spare part is taken from another device (at best, from a new one). Finding such "originals" is quite difficult. Spare parts made from original components are as close as possible in quality to the original. Only a person who is versed in the intricacies of "apple" repair can distinguish such a spare part from a factory one. The display module belonging to this category will have an original matrix and touchscreen, which guarantees high quality Images.

A copy is a spare part of low or medium quality, consisting of non-original components. The copy is visible to the naked eye. It is not difficult to distinguish such modules - a simple example would be the quality of the picture: slightly distorted colors give themselves away - less or more saturated, white, for example, when viewed at a slight angle turns into a little more blue.

It is extremely difficult to get a completely original display, so we recommend installing one that consists of original components. A copy is always a temporary solution, the service life is shorter, the quality is not “apple” at all. As for prices, usually the difference between the price of good screen with a guarantee and the cheapest on the Internet does not exceed several thousand rubles, so whether it is worth saving - everyone decides for himself, but, as they say, the miser pays twice!

Is it possible to change only the glass, and not the entire display?

Of course, this is technically possible - on modern models, the modules are a so-called "sandwich": the display module consists of a matrix with a touchscreen and glass and a frame glued on top. But this requires special equipment and almost factory conditions, otherwise problems may arise, for example:

1) Glass, most likely, will gradually peel off and bulge out of the device case:
2) In the process of replacing glass, dust can get on the matrix and stay there forever;
3) There is always a chance to damage the matrix or touchscreen in the process of removing the old glass, and then you will have to replace the entire module.

Keep in mind - according to our statistics, only 50 percent iPhone- the rest may have a broken matrix or damaged touchscreen from a strong blow, or there is already a non-original display. Replacing the display assembly, of course, is more expensive, but the quality and performance are guaranteed.

After replacing the display, it began to move away from the case, what is the reason?

Most often, the problem is related to the fact that iPhone case curved, causing the glass to peel off. Therefore, it is imperative that when transferring the device for repair, inspect its case for dents and distortions. If this happens, it must either be straightened or replaced.

Why does glass peel off? When the case is deformed, a gap is formed due to the delamination of the glass from the display frame. The frame is made of plastic that can take the shape of the body, while glass does not have such properties. If this still happened, contact the service, you need to try to straighten the case or change it.

How not to break the iPhone for the second time after repair?

There is a lot of advice here - starting from the simplest ones like “be careful” and ending with hardcore cases that will allow your iPhone to play almost football. We recommend installing protective glass with a hardness of 9H, because cheap analogues can sometimes burst for no reason.

That's all for today - stay tuned!
