Recording every event in life is one of the trends of the modern world. Did you fry pancakes? In the network, even though they are burned, the friends will like it. Did you buy new shoes? Rather brag! Ran out of the border? Tell everyone, and as soon as possible, posting some more photos from the airport.

The tendency to keep all the details of life is called lifelogging. It was announced in October as one of the main trends of the future 2014. According to experts, it will gain momentum all over the world. Events from the lives of millions of people will be in social networks at a glance, of course, if in this palm there is a mobile device with unlimited access to the Internet.

Already, most cars have video cameras installed, which not only help to decide who is at fault in an accident, but also provide YouTube with funny and not so funny videos. If you are not yet ready to always wear a camera on your clothes, do not despair, you can also join the world of lifelogging with the help of applications selected by Hitech.vesti .

Expereal

As you know, memories are greatly distorted over time. For example, bad things are much more difficult to forget than good things, things that were once indifferent, eventually begin to touch, and so on. The developer of the Exerial app, Jonathan Cohen, is convinced that the only way remember your life correctly - write down objective assessments about each day.

In general, the program does not do too much - with its help you can evaluate your day on a 10-point scale, after which these estimates are transformed into visual graphs. Thus, one can clearly see the successful and unsuccessful periods of life.

The evaluation process is implemented very creatively. The user is prompted to rotate the toggle switch in the direction of the arrow. The more you turn it, the more points that day has and the brighter the color spot in the middle of the screen. Sounds a little weird, but looks amazing. After selecting the number of points, the user goes to an additional menu where he can leave comments about the day, add people, place and photos.

You can download Expereal for free from this link.

This is a beautiful program that will allow you to never keep a diary again. The developers' idea is simple - users upload to social media enough data to make a detailed diary of their lives, to group all the memories. This is what the application does. You allow him access to photos on your iPhone, connect your Facebook, Instagram and Foursquare accounts (unfortunately, there is no support for VKontakte), after which a unique database of personal memories appears in front of you.

The first time you start compiling the tape, it takes several hours. At this time, the application can be minimized. While you wait, Memoir automatically builds relationships between the places you've been, social media posts, and photos. You can always clearly see that, for example, in March 2011 you flew to Minsk, in March 2012 you had fun at your cousin's birthday party, and three days ago you took exams.

Saga

Saga is an unusual application that uses the sensors built into a smartphone to collect information about the user's life. With help GPS program registers all the user's places of stay and builds routes for him. Each route is accompanied by information about its duration and frequency of repetition.

Based on these data, the program creates a kind of digital portrait of a person's life. He can see detailed graphs of changing times for going to work, going to the nearest cinema, and so on. The application helps to structure your life in your head and better understand what time is spent on.

If you go shopping every day, the app will remind you to do so. If it's lunch time, the program will tell you where people like you like to eat. Given the weather data, the application will recommend going for a walk or staying at home, taking into account traffic data, the program will advise when to go on the road, and so on.

If you are not afraid of such penetration into the privacy of your life, you can download Saga for free in the App Store.

human

Many people lead a sedentary lifestyle and do not even think about the possible consequences for health. The Human app can track the user's movements and encourage them to move more - walk at least 30 minutes a day.

The advantage of the program is that to track the user's movement in space, no additional accessories are required, such as bracelets with FitBit sensors. The app automatically tracks your movements while running in the background. The program records the route, the duration of the walk, gives the average and maximum speed of movement. The results can be shared on social networks.

The program has a simple and modern interface, works stably, collects very detailed statistics. At the same time, you need to be prepared for the fact that, for example, running around the supermarket for an hour and a half or going to the dining room in the neighboring building Human will be counted as a walk, only if you specifically indicate that you walked at that time.

Argus

Argus is one of the first apps to use the M7 co-processor in the iPhone 5s. The program can be classified as an all-in-one fitness diary: it counts the steps taken, the calories eaten (with the ability to take a photo of the dish), the number of cups of coffee, tea and water drunk, as well as the hours allotted for sleep.

And the owners will benefit the most from Argus newest model iPhone 5s. Thanks to the M7 chip, the application is able to count even if the smartphone is in "sleep mode". When the gadget becomes active again, M7 will send all the accumulated information to Argus, which will positively affect battery consumption. On older iPhones, Argus counts steps the old-fashioned way, using a GPS sensor, so their battery will drain faster.

The Argus interface is beautiful, but a bit confusing at first, so it will take some getting used to. Activity is shown as cells, where each cell is associated with an activity.

Cardiio

This is a very simple application based on very advanced technology. The program is designed to read a person's pulse and store records of the work of his heart. The application can accurately determine the pulse using the main or front camera of the iPhone.

The user simply stands in a well-lit area and directs the front camera. The application asks him not to move for a few seconds, and at this time displays interesting facts about the human body. After a couple of moments, they are replaced by accurate information about the pulse.

The principle of the program is based on the fact that with each heartbeat, the color of a person's face changes slightly as a result of blood flow. This is imperceptible to the human eye, but computer algorithms calculate changes in the amount of reflected light.

Endomondo

One of best solutions for tracking physical activity. The program not only tracks the user's activity, but also motivates, thanks to the social component.

Endomondo can record information about the distance traveled, calculate the number of calories burned, average speed, number of steps and so on. You can motivate yourself by competing with friends from social networks. If there are no friends using the program, you can set yourself the bar yourself and try to achieve them.

The application interface is very simple, clear and stylish. If desired, on the main screen of the application, you can display a large number of all kinds of indicators - calories burned, pulse, speed, fluid loss, and so on. At the end of the workout, you can see detailed statistics of your activity, which you can save or send to Facebook.

The program can be downloaded in the App Store for 169 rubles. Eat free versions applications with reduced functionality.

Everyday

One of the most amazing lifelogging apps that is more interesting as a piece of art than a practical assistant. The program offers to take pictures of your face every day for many months. After that, the application will be able to make a video from these pictures, which will clearly show how the user's appearance has changed during this time. The idea is wonderful, but how many people have the patience to take pictures of themselves daily.

Fortunately, pictures from the program can be shared on social networks, so users who can’t live even a day without a self-shot on Instagram are unlikely to have to make big sacrifices. How it will look like, the video attached to the note will best tell.

Everyday can be downloaded from the App Store for 66 rubles.

1 Second Everyday

Not only the name of this application, but also its idea is very similar to the program described above. 1 Second Everyday suggests capturing a one-second video every day and then combining it into a super-compressed canvas of life.

Having opened the application, the user sees the calendar, by clicking on the day, you can view the second recorded in it. Video clips do not have to be recorded from the application, they can be selected from the gallery, cutting off the required second, you can also view the entire “video of life” at once.

The program can automatically remind you of the need to “upload” a video into it so that the user does not shirk from compiling a video.

A personal diary is a convenient way to distract yourself, think about your actions, draw the right conclusions, or simply record your emotions and impressions from a particular event. If you own an iPhone or iPad, then you no longer need to worry about buying large notebooks or notebooks where you can write down your personal notes. All functions of a personal diary will be taken over by the application day one.

Once you've downloaded the Day One app, you can start creating a new post right away. To do this, just refer to the menu, which is located on the left. You have the option to start adding a note by selecting a photo, or simply start typing text. The application will independently determine and indicate your current location, as well as information about the weather. In addition, if you are used to neatly organizing your thoughts, then you can also add an appropriate label to your entry, or highlight it with an asterisk so that it will be easier to find it later.

One of the main features of the Day One app is support for data syncing between your iPhone and iPad. The application is universal, which means that if you paid its cost once, you can use it both on a smartphone and on tablet computer from Apple. At the same time, all data will be automatically synchronized between devices through the built-in "cloud" service. If you want to access your notes not only from iGadget, but also from personal computer or a laptop, then in Day One you can also set up synchronization through the popular Dropbox service. In this case, all your notes will be saved on the Dropbox servers as a plain text document.

Among other things, Day One has an excellent reminder system. If you have tried to keep a diary at least once, then you probably got into a situation where you simply forgot to “update” your entries, that is, make new notes. Day One will help you deal with this problem as well. In the application settings, you can specify the period during which Day One will send you a push notification so that you do not forget to add a new entry to your diary. In fact, it turned out to be very convenient and practical.

Well, in case you are afraid that your records may fall into the wrong hands, the Day One developers have added the ability to set a numerical code to enter the application into the application. Thus, if given function enabled, you will be required to enter a code each time you log into Day One. Otherwise, you will not be able to access your notes.

As a conclusion, Day One is an indispensable tool for anyone who is looking for an attractive application for recording their own thoughts. As already mentioned, Day One has a great interface and a decent set of features that will appeal to absolutely all users. The application does not support the Russian language, but believe me, it will not be difficult for you to understand the interface and start recording your own impressions. Thanks to its great design and more than optimal price/quality ratio, the Day One app gets 5 out of 5 possible points.

Not so long ago, many of us kept personal diaries, but now it is incredibly rare to meet a person who keeps a good old diary, and all due to the fact that in our time electronic personal diaries have almost replaced simple ones. Of course, this was primarily due to the appearance of the Cupertino tablet, as well as the iCloud service, with which you can easily synchronize all your records on all devices at the same time. An application called Day One is considered one of the best among all those designed for keeping an electronic diary and for good reason, because in addition to supporting the popular cloud service it differs from analogs and other pleasant "buns".

One of the most important aspects of creating a successful diary app is, without a doubt, a design that should be aesthetically pleasing to users, and here the Day One developers went all out. The beautiful minimalistic design allows you to focus on your thoughts, instead of having to deal with the indigestible settings that similar applications are simply crammed with.

The implementation of a tape of records may remind some of that in, but even taking this into account, it is difficult to call it a banal “copying” of a successful idea.

If desired, the user can view entries in the built-in calendar, and it should be noted that such functionality will be useful if you want to find a specific entry by the exact date.

Let's not pretend, how often have you forgotten to write something in your diary due to lack of a reminder? That is why the developers of Day One added the ability to set notifications that will remind the user to continue keeping a diary.

If we add to this cross-platform (the user can download Day One for iPhone / iPad), then we have one of best apps for keeping an electronic diary.

Overview of diary software for Mac OS X

Journaling. This concept is often found in foreign books and blogs devoted to business. From the name it is already clear that the essence of journaling is that a person keeps certain records (usually at work) and catalogs them. For example, a marketer can write down interesting techniques and techniques for promoting a product, all kinds of tips and tricks. Wherein important point in Journaling is the convenience of access to existing information. A person should not experience any difficulties at the moment when he decides to find some of his early records. After all, this is the whole point of keeping a diary with the help of specialized software products.

To date, there are a great many different programs for keeping your offline diaries under Mac OS X. Let's consider the most popular of them. All of them are quite different and represent completely different approaches to working with information.

Memoires

This program is one of the few creations of Russian developers who create programs for the Macintosh. The author of the application is Dmitry Chestnykh, a representative of Coding Robots. It should be noted that Mémoires is the first product of the company under OS X. And immediately quite successful. The program fits very well into the style of the operating system itself. At first glance, it may seem that it has a minimal set of functions, but this is not entirely true. Like Apple's operating system, Mémoires has a lot of hidden features.

The program window itself immediately invites you to work. It is divided into three parts: the text of the entry, the calendar (dates where there are notes are highlighted) and a list of article names (displayed when searching or by clicking on a date).

In fact, you can't create categories in Mémoires, there's no way to tag your posts, and the only way to navigate through articles is either through the calendar or using search. It seems that there are no cataloging possibilities. However, not all so simple! Search in the program works perfectly, and this allows you to use it for cataloging records. For example, you can write a heading at the beginning of each article. At one time, I made each heading like this: “The title of the rubric. Article title". Naturally, if we need all the articles from the “Marketing” heading, then we simply type this word into the search field and press Enter. It turns out that Mémoires has a fairly good system for cataloging records. The only disadvantage of the mechanism I have described is that in the results of the issuance you will receive not only articles containing the word "marketing" in the title, but also those where it is mentioned in the body of the text.

From additional features The program is worth noting encryption of diaries, import of log files from other programs. There is the possibility of creating an unlimited number of diaries.

In doing so, I note that Mémoires is paid application and will cost you $28. The price is quite consistent with the presented opportunities.

Journler

Journler is a fairly good free app for cataloging notes. The appearance of the program is strikingly different from what we could see in the previous example - in the Mémoires program. The program allows you to navigate through the records through the search and calendar. In addition, the user can create his own journals - headings, which serve as a fairly convenient means of cataloging information.

Finally, each note in Journler is tagged with so-called keywords by which we can carry out quick search and sorting records. True, the mechanism for working with tags in Journler is this moment poorly implemented. So you should not consider this feature as an advantage of the program (at the end of the review I will introduce you to a program where tags really play an important role).

An interesting feature of Journler is the ability to assign colored labels to posts and categories. This is useful if you want to highlight a particular entry from the background of others. For example, a note marked in red catches the eye.

Journler has a built-in mechanism for working with a webcam, thanks to which you can quickly create audio, video and photo notes.

Well, it turns out a wonderful program. Plus, it's free! What's the catch? Personally, it has not always worked consistently for me. Here is the answer to the question above.

Mori

An app that may have inspired Mémoires. A rather simple program with a minimum of functions. Its interface is somewhat reminiscent of Mémoires, but they are clearly not identical. The differences are that in Mori the right side of the main window is divided into two parts. At the top are all the records from the currently selected folder, and at the bottom, in fact, the text of the currently selected record. The left part is a single list where all folders and records are located (yes, they can be viewed here as well). In addition, there is also a trash can containing deleted notes.

I can not call this option interface is very convenient. For example, to create a new note, you have to open a new window, which is completely unnecessary when working with Mémoires, and even when working with the free Journler.

However, this way of organizing work may appeal to many people, which is why I included this program in the review.

Among the additional features of the Mori program, I would note the ability to attach a file to each note, support for Apple Script, plug-ins, as well as built-in smart-folders, having figured out which the user can significantly increase his productivity when working with the program.

Mori, alas, is paid program. You can try it out during a trial period, after which you will have to shell out $39 to keep using the app.

Together

Together is another representative of diary programs. This program significantly superior in its functionality all previous participants in this review.

So, outwardly, Together is similar to some extent to the same Mémoires, but it has noticeably more functionality. Not always, however, necessary. There is the usual field for the text of the article with additional options that slide out, including the date, tags, and more. Additional Information about the note. Files can be added to each article. Absolutely any. They serve as an addition to the note. At the same time, each file can be viewed through Quick Look almost instantly. There is also the possibility of grouping records by folders and tags. Opposite each folder (heading) a number is displayed containing the number of notes currently in it. About the search, I generally keep quiet. This is a mandatory attribute of almost every program.

In addition to the above, Together also has such features as a full-fledged media library containing all the notes, the ability to work with Web Archive Safari browser, regular html pages, notes and PDF files.

Naturally, Together supports synchronization with the recently introduced Apple Mobile Me web services (formerly known as .Mac), there is Apple support Script and some basic actions in Automator.

Of the minuses of the program, it is worth noting perhaps the fact that its operation necessarily requires an operating room. Mac system OS X Leopard 10.5. The evaluation period of the program is 15 days, after which you will either have to purchase it for $39 or delete it. Advanced users who love multifunctional solutions should take note of Together.

myNotes

myNotes is enough old program, written in Carbon. Because its interface looks very unusual in OS X Leopard, to put it mildly, falling out of the picture. And indeed, if we talk about appearance program, it is far from perfect. For example, groups are used to catalog entries (analogous to folders and headings). They are located in the left part of the main program window in the form of a list. On the right is a second list that displays all entries from the selected group. In the right part of the window there is a field for notes.

If we talk about some additional options in the program, there are not so many of them. But there is one that at least sets myNotes apart from the competition - it's the ability to import notes into the player. At the same time, there is no talk of any support for the iPhone.

All in all, this program is worth a look. Maybe even someone will like it. By the way, this application is another one of the few examples of Macintosh software from Russian developers.

meinKOPP

meinKOPP is a fairly versatile program. With it, you can create new to-do lists, notes, and quick notes. The program has a rather non-standard interface that can immediately scare away the user. But there is no need to jump to conclusions. meinKOPP takes some time to figure out what's what.

All functions in the program are divided into separate windows located in one large window. The Notes window, which we are interested in this case, is nothing remarkable. Here you can create categories and notes themselves. There are no special "chips" in the program when working with a diary, everything is quite standard.

It seems to me that such a program can be safely recommended to those people who need a multifunctional solution in which notes play only a small role.

meinKOPP is a paid program. However, its price does not scare at all. To obtain full version programs will have to pay only 7 euros. The application works equally well on both Intel Macs and Power PC machines.
