Windows. Viruses. Notebooks. Internet. office. Utilities. Drivers

Sony Xperia XA2 looks unusual, this time the corporate design was redesigned, but still remained in the general style.

One of the main changes on the front panel is that the bezels have become thinner, especially at the top and bottom, now they no longer look so huge. Due to this, the ratio of screen area to the surface of the device is 75%, which is not much different from 77% with a fashionable elongated display.

The rear panel has also undergone significant changes - now it is not flat, but convex, in addition, it has acquired a fingerprint scanner, and the camera lens has moved from the upper left corner to the middle. We liked to see the scanner on the side, and the lens in the corner, but all this is subjective and a matter of taste.

Dimensions of new items - 142 × 70 × 9.7 mm, weight - 171 grams. The case is compact in terms of height and width, but thick and heavy - no joke, almost a centimeter! But visually, the phone does not feel particularly thick due to the convex back. The Xperia XA2 is comparable in size to the 5-inch, but still noticeably thicker. Interestingly, despite the larger screen, the smartphone turned out to be slightly shorter, but wider than its predecessor Xperia XA1. Still, narrower frames sometimes work wonders. Body materials - aluminum frame and polycarbonate back.

The Sony Xperia XA2 is available in four colors: black, silver, blue and pink.

Screen

The Sony Xperia XA2 has a 5.2-inch IPS screen and Full HD resolution(1920×1080 pixels). Its diagonal has grown by 0.2 inches compared to its predecessor, along with this, they did not forget to raise the resolution: from HD to Full HD. The result is a high pixel density of 424 per inch. The screen has protective glass Gorilla Glass, up to 530 nits of brightness and a 1300:1 contrast ratio are very good. But the color rendition turned out to be not quite perfect, with an error value of 5-6 units, this is not that much, but for the money you expect higher accuracy.

cameras

The smartphone is equipped with advanced cameras of 23 and 8 MP. They shoot no worse than their predecessor, that is, at an excellent level, at least the main one, the front one, did not impress us very much.

The main camera received not only many megapixels, but also a relatively large sensor (1 / 2.3 "), a good aperture (f / 2.0), hybrid (phase and contrast) autofocus. The smartphone can shoot 4K video. Another feature is the ability to increase ISO up to 12800, usually limited to 400, 800, 1600 or maximum 3200 in smartphones. Night shooting is given to the camera a little worse, the image sharpness drops, but still at a very decent level. There is no separate mode for night shooting.

The front camera was made wide-angle (120 degrees), it can shoot video up to Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) resolution. The quality of the selfie is high, with good detail and natural color reproduction. Its capabilities are quite enough to publish pictures on social networks with the tag #without filters.

Communications

Sony Xperia XA2 has everything in order with communications:

  • dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
  • support for LTE Cat. 13 (up to 600 Mbps)
  • bluetooth 5.0
  • NFC chip
  • FM radio
  • A-GPS.

Everything is on the level, there is even a modern USB type C connector with USB support host. At the same time, they did not forget about a separate connector for. It is expected that the model will have two versions, one and two nanoSIM cards. True, in the second case, this will mean a combined slot (either a SIM card or a memory card).

Battery

Xperia XA2 showed quite good autonomy in tests. Sony has finally significantly increased the battery capacity - from 2300 to 3300 mAh. For comparison, in budget or about 3000 mAh, although there are quite a few budget ones with 4100 mAh batteries. The phone easily withstands a day and a half of active use. If we talk about numbers, then this is up to 9 hours of video viewing, about 10-11 hours of browsing and 20 hours of talking. Not that impressive results, but in general it turns out quite worthy. Support for QuickCharge 3.0 fast charging will be a nice bonus.

Performance

The performance of the novelty is above average.

The smartphone runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 (up to 2.2 GHz, with Cortex-A53 architecture) with Adreno 508 graphics. The same one is used in. Together with 3 GB random access memory this is enough for everyday tasks, applications, and even for the vast majority mobile games, anyway, on low-medium graphics settings, it also practically does not heat up in use.

Peculiarities

Sony Xperia XA2 offers a proprietary interface and Android 8 OS right out of the box. Let's call the phone's features an updated design, an advanced camera, a thick, heavy body and high quality sound.

Memory

The amount of permanent memory of the smartphone is 32 GB. As a rule, this is enough for most users, but you can always add up to 256 GB using .

The smartphone is very bulky. 174 grams and 5.5 inch matrix, which occupies about 70% of the front. At the same time, the device itself is made of plastic, in fairness, very high quality, which is unlikely to get dirty, does not slip and is generally very pleasant to the touch. The overall design is Sony. This is a square brick that can be placed on the table. The back is slightly rounded, but using the smartphone with one hand is still uncomfortable. The corner fits into the hand, which is not very comfortable. For convenience, a one-handed control mode has been implemented, it does not greatly save the situation, but it is still better with it than without it. The smartphone is unlikely to fit in a pocket, it is very thick, almost a centimeter thick. Not suitable for a female hand, although marketers have thought about the beautiful half of humanity, there is a model in pink, as well as black and gold. The device ended up with a very meager kit, only a USB C cable and a charger in addition to a smartphone. Unfortunately, the memory is not aimed at fast charging which is very frustrating.

Width

Height

Thickness

Weight

shell

There is not much to talk about here due to the fact that Sony adherents of the “naked” Android. The smartphone is running system version 7.1. You don't have to wait for any "chips". We have already talked about the one-handed control system, it is easily configured using swipes. There is security in the device, implemented using a fingerprint scanner. There are no complaints here, everything works very quickly. There are no frills, only all the most necessary and important functions, since the notification sensor has not been abandoned.

Specifications

  • CPU

    MediaTek MT6737T (4 x 1.45 GHz)

  • video processor

There is something to scold the company for. Compared to the previous smartphone model, nothing has changed in the hardware. They just took and put in the 2018 model old cpu- MediaTek MT6737T which runs on 4 cores up to 1.45GHz. Strange decision. Video processor Mali-T720 MP2, respectively. It is difficult to say why the processors migrated from the old generation model, and what exactly the company was guided by.

Memory

But the built-in memory has become more, now on board 32 GB. Previously, there were 16. "RAM" is 3 GB, which is quite enough for comfortable work with the device. We also note the lack of a combined slot, but real support for two nanoSim and microSD up to 256 GB. Thank you for this company.

Connection

We have no complaints about communication, on the contrary, the smartphone has an advantage over its competitors - the presence of an NFC chip. The smartphone catches communication a priori well, since plastic transmits the signal very well. There are some complaints about the work of GPS, but in general it works well. Well, support for dual-band Wi-Fi is also worth a lot.

This smartphone, made in a "frameless" design, however, has retained the classic proportions (16:9) of a bright 5.2-inch screen. Its main camera has received the function of slow motion (120 fps), and the front one, with a wide-angle lens, is useful for group self-portraits. In the filling, seasoned with Android 8.0, it is also worth noting a fresh processor, high-quality sound, an NFC interface and support for fast charging. Vesti.Hi-tech found out not only the advantages, but also the disadvantages of the Sony Xperia XA2.

Together with the Xperia XA2, they introduced new original Style Cover Stand cases made of artificial leather. With adjustable tilt angle, these accessories provide convenient viewing video. At the same time, playback is automatically put on "pause" when the cover is closed. In turn, the new MBH22 mono Bluetooth headset is designed for six hours of talk time and can be used together with Google Assistant to control music playback, as well as perform other commands.

Sony Xperia XA2 review: design, ergonomics

It's no secret that Sony smartphones are easy to distinguish among their kind, largely due to the original, slightly angular design. So, the Xperia XA2 also got the evolving Loop Surface concept, which is characterized by a slight curve of the screen and symmetry, which gives the device a more elegant look. The side faces of the case were made of anodized aluminum, while the upper and lower ends were supplemented with a decorative chamfer.

The front panel of the smartphone is completely covered with protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass, but the back panel is made of durable polycarbonate. Although in a silver color (namely, such a device we got for a test), it looks quite "metal". In addition to silver, black, blue and pink are also available. If the side frames around the screen are practically invisible, then the top and bottom dies were made with a large margin. The power/lock button has been reverted to its classic round "metal rivet" look, as the fingerprint scanner has now moved to back panel. The dimensions of the Xperia XA2 are 142x70x9.7 mm and the weight is 171 grams. At the same time, protection of the case from dust and moisture is not provided for this smartphone.

At the junction of the front panel and the upper end, there is a cutout for the "conversational" speaker grill, below which the Sony logo was applied on the plate. To the right of it, an “invisible” LED indicator, a large “peephole” of the front camera, as well as proximity and light sensors were assembled.

As touch buttons control panel ("Back", "Home" and "Recent Applications") are icons "triangle", "circle" and "square", which have taken their place at the bottom of the screen.

At the bottom of the case, around the USB Type-C connector for charging / synchronization, there is a grille for a “multimedia” speaker and a hole for a “conversational” microphone.

A hole for a second microphone (for noise reduction) and a 3.5 mm connector (CTIA) for an audio headset were on the top end.

On the right edge, they placed a volume rocker, a power / lock button and a dedicated key for shooting.

On the left edge there is a slot covered with a lid, which is easy to pry off with a fingernail. A tray is fixed on the cover, designed for the first subscriber identification module (nanoSIM format). Another tray not connected to the lid (again, removed, for example, with a fingernail), is designed to install a second nanoSIM or microSD memory card.

In the center of the upper part of the rear panel, decorated with the Sony logo, placed the main camera lens with a slightly protruding protective edging. A little to the left of it there was a place for an LED flash, and below - for a round capacitive platform of a fingerprint scanner. The NFC antenna area is marked with an icon.

Even with the classic screen proportions (16:9), managing a 5.2-inch device with one hand is not particularly difficult. However, the settings provide special tools for changing the size of the working area of the screen.

Sony Xperia XA2 review: screen

The Xperia XA2 smartphone received a 5.2-inch IPS-matrix with an aspect ratio of 16:9. At a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, the pixel density per inch is 424 ppi. Branded Sony technology used to improve image quality.

The desired backlight level is selected either manually or automatically ("Adaptive control"). According to unofficial data, the maximum brightness reaches 500 cd/sq. m, which even feels like the truth. In addition, the adjustment range is very wide. So it is quite comfortable to work, both in complete darkness and in bright light. The touch screen responds clearly to pressing and recognizes up to ten simultaneous touches. Such multi-touch is confirmed by the results of the AnTuTu Tester program. In the settings, stepwise adjustment of the size of images, text and icons on the screen is also available.

For color gamut and contrast, there are presets for standard mode and extreme brightness mode. In addition, you can completely disable automatic image enhancement. The backlight control function automatically detects whether the device is in the hand or not. In the first case, the screen does not go out, and in the second case it turns off according to the timeout setting. Changing the color temperature of the screen ("White Balance") makes the shades warmer or, conversely, colder. A high-quality oleophobic coating is applied to the protective glass Gorilla Glass 4. By the way, the “spicy” detail about the version number of the glass was found out only on the Corning website.

Sony Xperia XA2 Review: Cameras

IN smartphone Xperia The XA2 hasn't skimped on megapixels and equipped it with a 23 MP Exmor RS rear camera (1/2.3-inch optical size). Sony G Lens wide-angle lens with an equivalent focal length (EFF) of 25 mm and an angle of view of 84 degrees received an aperture of f / 2.0. The maximum image resolution with a classic aspect ratio (4:3) is 5520x4144 pixels (23 MP). The main photo module also has an LED flash and digital image stabilization (SteadyShot). Hybrid autofocus provides fast focusing in various lighting conditions.

For Full HD video, the main photo module provides a frame rate of not only 30 fps, but also 60 fps. standalone application"Video 4K" records clips in 3840x quality [email protected] fps.

There are three main shooting modes available in the Camera app - Manual (M), Super Auto, and Video. You can force the HDR option only in manual mode, where you are invited to decide on your own focus, as well as shutter speeds, ISO, exposure compensation steps and white balance presets.

The front camera with an 8-megapixel Exmor R sensor (optical size 1/4 inch) received a lens with an aperture of f / 2.4 and a variable viewing angle. So, with just one tap on the corresponding icon on the viewfinder, you can switch between wide-angle (80 degrees) and extra wide-angle (120 degrees) mode. The maximum image resolution for a 4:3 aspect ratio is 3264x2448 pixels (8 MP).

Horizontal swipes switch shooting modes, while vertical swipes (from top to bottom) change the main camera to the front one (and vice versa). In the settings, you can not only decide on the photo resolution and video quality, but also, for example, activate the "soft skin" cosmetic effect for selfies. Among additional applications, along with "4K Video" and "Panorama", there are also various filters ("Artistic") and augmented reality effects ("AR-effect"), which can somehow revive boring photos.

In the "Video" mode of the main camera, there is an icon next to the record button, which is used for slow motion (120 fps) shooting in HD quality (1280x720 pixels).

Generally speaking, "photohunting" with using Xperia XA2 left a double impression. On the one hand, it is impossible not to note the simple interface and useful options, but on the other hand, for example, from night and macro photography (again, on Sony sensors!) Still waiting for more. See examples of photos from the main camera.

Sony Xperia XA2 review: sound

Enabling the ClearAudio+ option replaces the 5-band EQ with presets and separate control low frequencies(Clear Bass technology). For headphones in manual mode, surround sound emulation is also provided in studios, clubs and concert halls. Recall that for wireless headsets paired via Bluetooth, LDAC and aptX HD codecs are available for high quality sound. The dynamic normalizer, in turn, equalizes the volume of different audio tracks or video recordings.

The "multimedia" speaker of the Xperia XA2 sounds quite loud and with good quality. Branded application "Music" offers to store your audio library on Google Drive. For the FM tuner, which appeared in the new smartphone, to work, you need to connect a wired audio headset as a shortwave antenna.

Review Sony Xperia XA2: stuffing, performance

For the Xperia XA2, developers have opted for the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 mobile platform, which features increased gaming performance, improved photo and video capabilities, improved energy efficiency, and high data transfer speeds. LTE networks. Eight ARM Cortex-A53 processor cores, created using the 14 nm process technology, are clocked at up to 2.2 GHz. The Adreno 508 graphics accelerator works in tandem with them. At the same time, their performance, according to the company, has increased compared to the popular predecessor - Snapdragon 625 - by 10% and 30%, respectively.

The X12 LTE modem paired with the new RF transceiver can achieve a maximum downlink data rate of 600 Mbps (Cat. 12). Appeared on the chip Bluetooth support 5.0, Quick Charge 4.0, 4K video shooting, etc. The base configuration of the Xperia XA2 is complemented by 3 GB of RAM.

Built-in storage capacity of 32 GB can be expanded with microSD / HC / XC memory cards (up to 256 GB). USB-OTG technology allows you to connect ordinary flash drives to your smartphone via a USB Type-C adapter. Recall that the combo slot is designed to install either a memory card or a second nanoSIM.

The functions of voice communication and mobile Internet in the Xperia XA2 are assigned to one radio channel, with which two subscriber identification modules in nanoSIM (4FF) format can alternately work. They provide support for 4G LTE networks for Cat.12/Cat.13 mobile terminal categories. The set of 4G frequency bands contains FDD-LTE Band 3 (1,800 MHz), Band 7 (2,600 MHz) and Band 20 (800 MHz), which are necessary for Russia. Among other wireless communications, along with dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.4 and 5 GHz), Miracast, Google Cast, Bluetooth 5.0 (LDAC, aptX HD) and NFC are supported.

The NFC interface is useful for exchanging data between smartphones or a payment service Android Pay. In tandem with the corresponding application, it will also help you find out the balance of Strelka and Troika transport cards.

Satellite GPS systems and GLONASS can be used for positioning and navigation. There is also a Wi-Fi coordination mode and cellular networks(A-GPS).

Sony Xperia XA2 review: autonomy

Capacity non-removable battery the Xperia XA2 is 3,300 mAh. The smartphone comes with a regular charger (5 V / 1.5 A), so to take advantage of the Charge 3.0 fast charging, you will need to purchase, for example, the recommended UCH12W adapter. After that, it will be possible to fill the battery halfway in about half an hour.

As for the energy efficiency of the new smartphone, the AnTuTu Tester program rated it at 7,507 points. A set of test videos in MP4 format (hardware decoding) and Full HD-quality at full brightness spun continuously for about 7.6 hours.

To extend the autonomy of the Xperia XA2 are "smart" power saving modes Stamina and Ultra Stamina, the first of which limits, in particular, background data transfer, and the second - the number of available applications. Qnovo's Adaptive Charging technology and Battery Care extend battery life.

Sony Xperia XA2 Review: Software Features

The Xperia XA2 smartphone is running an operating system Android systems 8.0 (Oreo) with a proprietary Xperia shell, which minimally changes the interface and adds a number of features to it. For example, as in stock Android, there is an application menu and separate screens with program shortcuts. Yes, and for the notification curtain is used standard solution. Tapping and holding on an app icon brings up an access menu (if supported) with frequently used (up to four) features of that app. With the next tap with a hold, already on the line of the menu that appears, you can transfer the icon of one of these functions to the main screen. For example, from "Settings" you can separately make a quick transition to the "Battery (Battery)" section.

In addition to choosing wallpapers and themes, it's easy to change the icon grid in the settings, as well as decide on the type of transition between work screens.

For convenient unlocking of a smartphone, for example, with a PIN code, it is recommended to use a fingerprint scanner, the capacitive pad of which is located on the back of the smartphone. In the Smart Lock section, you can also set up a quick unlock of the device using face and/or voice recognition. It is worth recalling that such protection is less reliable than the use of fingerprints.

In the "One-handed actions" section, it is easy to activate the resizing of the home screen, including support for optimized applications for dialing, unlocking the screen, and accessing notifications. Note that dividing the screen into two parts (tap with hold on the "Recent applications" icon) is not supported by all programs yet.

Sony Xperia XA2 review: purchase, conclusions

Since the Xperia XA2 has not touched such fashion trends as duos of cameras and a "high" screen, the device turned out to be just a strong mid-ranger in a classic style. Among the advantages of the new smartphone, it is worth noting, including a bright screen with narrow frames, a front camera with a wide viewing angle, high-quality sound, a set of interfaces (including NFC), support for fast charging and Android 8.0 OS out of the box.

The polycarbonate back panel can cause some disappointment, as well as the lack of protection against water and dust. In addition, it must be recalled that there is no fast charging adapter in the kit.

Positioned as a mid-range smartphone price category, Xperia XA2 at the start of sales was estimated at 25,990 rubles. Of the 5.2-inch "classics" with a standard aspect ratio (16:9) of the screen, for example, for (our review) they are now asking for only a thousand more (26,990 rubles). This difference, in addition to the additional display, is obviously due to the presence of a Super AMOLED screen, dual (12 MP + 12 MP) main and 16 MP front cameras, as well as 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. True, to expand the existing storage microSD cards no longer succeed, but in the set wireless connections no NFC interface. In addition, you will have to be content with Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS, coupled with the Flyme OS shell.

Positioning

On this moment Sony has three current product lines. Flagship models XZ2 and XZ2 Compact, middle segment- XA2 and XA2 Ultra and budget series L2. The XA2 considered today, both in terms of positioning and price, is a typical strong mid-ranger.

The target audience this model - fans of Sony, who prefer not to pay more than 30 thousand rubles for a smartphone. At the same time, such users are not ready to compromise on the part of the display, time and speed of work. Also they want to see full set wireless interfaces, as in the flagships.

Design, dimensions, controls

Before us is one of the latest models in the old classic design from Sony: sharp corners, a "rectangular" case, a strict appearance. The smartphone is easy to recognize against the background of faceless devices from some Chinese companies.

The back cover is made of matte smooth plastic, fingerprints remain on it, but are not as noticeable as on glossy surfaces. The ends and edges of the device are made of aluminum.

On the left are the power button and volume rocker, and on the right is the tray for two nanoSIM cards and a memory card. More precisely, there are two trays, one for a SIM card, the second for nanoSIM or a memory card. Separately, I note that the second tray is very difficult to pull out, you have to pry it with your fingernail. Also, keep in mind that when you remove the tray, the smartphone will automatically restart.

Since the fingerprint scanner was moved to back cover, then the design of the power button in the model is the same as in the old Sony smartphones.

At the bottom you can see USB-C port, external speaker and the main microphone, and on the top - an additional microphone and a minijack for headphones.

The fingerprint scanner was moved to the back cover, this is one of the innovations in the controls. Personally, I fully support this decision, using the scanner on the side was not very convenient: due to the fact that it was inscribed in the power button, you immediately went to the main screen, it was problematic to see notifications on the lock screen. I have no complaints about the speed of the scanner, unlocking occurs instantly.

The smartphone itself is perfectly assembled, there are no backlashes, squeaks and other problems with the case. Four colors will be on sale: black, silver, blue and pink. Sony traditionally delights with interesting colors, you definitely don’t want to take a boring black version.

Model dimensions - 142 x 70 x 9.7 m, weight - 171 grams. The device is thicker and heavier than most competitors, while the battery capacity in it is far from the maximum (3300 mAh). Sony explains the thickness with a large camera module, but I can’t say that the smartphone takes pictures better than competitors from this segment.

Interestingly, after the XA2 Ultra, the dimensions of the regular XA2 don't feel so bulky, you get used to them after a couple of days of use. However, if you switch to XA2 from the usual more or less thin smartphone you will definitely notice the difference.

Screen

For its price, the XA2 has an excellent display: a good range of brightness, large viewing angles, narrow side frames (paired with 2.5D glass, it seems like there are almost no frames), natural color reproduction and an excellent oleophobic coating.

Pay attention to small frames

In terms of white balance, the screen is initially calibrated for cooler colors, which is clearly visible in direct comparison with the iPhone 7 Plus. However, in the settings you can set the white balance yourself if you prefer warmer tones.

In addition, there are three presets for customizing display colors. In the first case, the picture quality does not change, in the second it becomes more juicy and colorful, and the third mode makes the colors more poisonous, I did not like it.

In the sun, the display noticeably dims, the information remains visible, but using a smartphone becomes less comfortable.

Right there in the settings is scaling, if you wish, you can change the display of elements so that more information fits on the display or so that the interface itself becomes, on the contrary, larger.

Battery

Sony usually does not put capacious batteries of 4000 mAh and higher, the company compensates for the smaller capacity with various energy-saving technologies. For example, the enabled Stamina mode can extend the battery life by 15-20% on average by limiting the background activity of applications and reducing the frequency of the processor. The Ultra STAMINA mode is suitable for those situations when you need to maximize the operating time so that the smartphone does not run out of battery before the house. When it is turned on, only a few applications remain available, in fact, you can only make calls, write SMS, listen to music and take pictures.

Also in Xperia UI there is a separate battery care mode. It is suitable for those who charge their smartphone at night and remove it from charging in the morning (while getting up at about the same time). The device is charged up to 90%, then charging stops, and half an hour before you wake up, it is recharged to 100%. Keep in mind that the utility will take several days to remember your daily routine.

In everyday use (mail, twitter, social media, Mobile Internet, brightness 70-80%) you can count on 4 hours of display on, if you lower the brightness and turn on the Stamina mode, you will get an extra hour of screen. Separately, I was pleased with a small discharge during the night.

The device supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging, a full charge takes approximately 90 minutes.

Memory, chipset, performance

The performance of the Snapdragon 630 is enough for the eyes to work with FHD resolution, and the Xperia XA2 once again confirms these words. In two weeks of use, I did not have any problems with lags or slowdowns in the interface. Here it is worth saying thanks not only to the chipset, but also to the optimizations in Android 8.0. The device heats up only when benchmarks or productive toys are launched, the rest of the time there is no heating or it is invisible.

Communication options

Sony traditionally delights us with a good set of wireless interfaces, here you have Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD support, and a full-fledged NFC that works with Troika, and even Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE. The first is already working at MTS, and the second at Megafon. It's always nice to test a device that doesn't skimp on the little things.

Camera

Sony cameras have a concise but functional interface, all the necessary elements are at hand. By default, the camera shoots in super auto mode, which is notable for the fact that the device automatically detects the scene and adjusts the camera settings to suit it. If you don’t like this kind of software operation, then it’s easy to switch to the mode manual settings, it has a convenient slider for adjusting the brightness of the photo and adjusting the white balance.

An excellent smartphone with the same screen size is offered by the Chinese brand Oppo. Only its 6 inches have the now fashionable 18:9 aspect ratio, and compared to the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra, the device seems generally weightless, since it is about a third lighter. F5 loses to Sonya in performance, but it also costs less - 20,000 rubles. It has an excellent selfie camera, though only one, without a wide-angle option.

Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018)

At samsung galaxy A8 screen is smaller - 5.6 inches, but this smartphone also has two selfie cameras with different focal lengths. True, the difference between their viewing angles is not as big as that of the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra cameras. However, the purpose of the second camera is the same - to take group selfies.

All three cameras available on the smartphone shoot pretty well, and the 16-megapixel front camera is one of the best selfie cameras to date. The Samsung Galaxy A8 also has a great display, IP68 water resistance, and solid mid-range performance.

Outcome

After the Sony Xperia XZ1, which causes far from the most positive emotions, the less expensive, but more recent Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra smartphone is much more interesting. For example, counting thin frames on the sides, it does not look hopelessly outdated in 2018.

The Xperia XA2 Ultra would have been big anyway due to the 6-inch display, but it's clear that the designers didn't try to save millimeters where possible, so it came out especially big. And personally I like it (although I'm not a Hummer fan).
